This position is part of the Career Conversion Program (CCP), which offers a 15‑month training period with structured on‑the‑job training at participating companies to enable acquisition of the competencies required to perform the role.
The Biotechnologist is responsible for the manufacture of therapeutic proteins under cGMP conditions. The role involves working in clean rooms, handling equipment and materials, and supporting manufacturing operations across Large Scale, Small Scale, or Centralized Operations teams.

- Perform equipment monitoring and basic 6S housekeeping.
- Perform basic laboratory tasks (e.g., sampling, pH/ conductivity/ osmolality measurements).
- Perform routine sanitization tasks to maintain facility standards.
- Trained and signed off on Performance Measures (PMs) relating to CIP/SIP, basic tank and instrument operations.
- Demonstrate aseptic technique in the handling of product and materials.
- Perform basic process and equipment troubleshooting.
- Multi‑task on equipment preparations and operations to ensure adherence to schedule.
- Attain full competency in the performance of all operations relevant to manufacturing areas assigned.
- Display basic process and equipment troubleshooting ability under routine scenarios.
- Become a technical process expert by exhibiting a basic understanding of critical process/operational parameters, target/acceptable ranges, and interactions between different process parameters.
- Use SOPs, logbooks, and batch records (BRs) effectively and competently.
- Submit samples via Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Materials & Equipment Preparations:
- Identify correct materials by part number and FEFO lots.
- Select appropriate dispensing booths/hoods and weight balance.
- Identify sampling requirements based on material RMS.
- Assemble autoclave assembly per SOP.
- Perform equipment wash without stains and residues.
- Solutions Preparations:
- Enhanced knowledge of different setups and equipment use between customers for various operations (e.g., CIPs and buffer/media transfer).
- Identify and lead the installation of different setups and equipment for different customers.
- Understand the criticality of setting up the right path and equipment for different customers.
- In‑depth knowledge of the use of single‑use and conventional stainless‑steel equipment.
- Formulate plans for executing CIPs to meet different customer requirements (e.g., CIPs of the HTST).
- Diploma or degree in a relevant science discipline (Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Systematic approach to tasks.
- Positive team player.
