The Director, Maintenance Cost is the regional authority for maintenance-related CapEx and OpEx governance across Digital Edge’s portfolio.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, finance, and risk, ensuring maintenance investments are risk‑informed, financially disciplined, and operationally aligned. Acting as a trusted advisor and decision filter to the VP, Infrastructure Operations, you will help steer investment decisions that balance reliability, lifecycle value, and cost efficiency at scale.

• Review, evaluate, and endorse all maintenance CapEx and OpEx submissions across countries
• Establish and enforce consistent decision frameworks, including:
• Lifecycle cost analysis
• Repair vs. replacement assessment

• Develop and manage the regional maintenance cost outlook (CapEx & OpEx)
• Identify optimisation opportunities without compromising uptime or resilience
• Drive predictability, transparency, and consistency in maintenance spend

• Integrate asset condition data, incident history, and operational risk into investment decisions
• Proactively balance risks of:
• Review Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) contracts, variation orders, and major repair scopes
• Challenge scope creep, pricing assumptions, and cost structures
• Support regional standardisation of commercial terms, SLAs, and cost benchmarks

• Provide clear, defensible rationale for approval or rejection of maintenance spend
• Support audits, board materials, and investor queries related to maintenance economics
• Act as a key advisor to Infrastructure Leadership on financial and operational risk exposure

• Actively champion and implement the organization’s policies on health & safety, environment, energy, quality, information security, and business continuity, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, legal, and incident reporting requirements

• 12+ years in data centers, critical infrastructure, or complex industrial operations
• Strong background in:
• Maintenance strategy and execution
• Lifecycle asset management
• CapEx / OpEx governance and business case evaluation
• Proven ability to translate engineering decisions into financial and risk impact
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders at Director / VP level
• Systems thinker with a strong data and governance mindset
• Experience working across multiple countries or regions
• Confident executive communicator with strong reporting capability
• Track record of driving process standardisation at scale
