The Procurement Bid & Project Manager (PPM) is the upstream point of contact for all procurement needs of the business line covering SIX, Defence and LAS. The PPM is responsible for all procurements that are part of a bid, project or product delivery, providing the best procurement solution (competitiveness, quality, on time delivery) and aligning with Thales Procurement strategy led by the Global Category Managers and Regional Category Manager.

• Bid Phase: Represent procurement as part of the Bid team in BKO, estimate review, CCR, and all gates per the Bid Plan; analyse the customer’s needs and context, set expectations to the Category Team; carry out overall assessment of the purchasing R&Os; collapse and optimise acquisition needs; assess viability, define strategy, consolidate from all Category teams through the Acquisition Management Plan (AMP); deliver the AMP and Procurement strategy; hand over to Project PPM after award; participate in lessons‑learnt sessions.
• Project Phase: Formulate and execute the acquisition plan in accordance with allocated targets (time, quality, total cost of ownership, risks & opportunity); liaise with operational teams and Category Buyers; define and monitor contractual requirements; comply with the “Manage Acquisition” process and use acquisition tools (e‑Acquisition, ERP); lead and coordinate all acquisition activities, manage risk, track budget gaps, escalates irregularities, develop mitigation plans; lead cost‑reduction initiatives and track results.

• Education: University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, IT or related field.
• Experience: Project‑based environment, preferably low volume, high mix; tactical and strategic supplier management; project management/PMO experience, preferably with procurement background.
• Specific Knowledge: Familiarity with ICT, security, cyber related topics; experience managing installation companies is an added advantage; familiarity with and experience in Power BI.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular); knowledge of SAP would be beneficial.
• Business Understanding: Ability to travel if needed; strong leadership with ability to drive cross‑functional teams; flexible and adaptable to a fast‑paced environment.
