Summary of Job: Make-A-Wish Singapore grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Through the transformative power of a wish, we bring hope, strength and joy to children and their families during some of the most challenging times in their lives. You will be part of a team delivering programmes, medical outreach, and volunteer management. Working with children, families, medical professionals, volunteers, and partners, you will manage wishes end-to-end, ensuring each experience is thoughtfully planned and executed. This includes coordinating logistics, engaging volunteers, and liaising with partners. The role is highly interactive and requires strong empathy, initiative, and organisational skills when working with diverse stakeholders. Maternity Cover Period: Approximately mid-May to mid-Feb
Key Responsibility Areas 1. Manage end-to-end delivery of a high-volume of concurrent wishes (70 - 80 at a given time), ensuring timely, safe and high-quality fulfilment, including: Managing allocated wish budgets and related expenses in accordance with organisational policies Proactively identifying and resolving operational challenges to ensure smooth wish delivery Exercising sound judgment when handling sensitive family conversations and complex wish scenarios Sourcing and liaising with vendors and wish partners to secure in-kind support or preferential rates Maintaining accurate case documentation to track beneficiaries and monitor service quality Ensuring a positive and dignified experience for beneficiaries and families throughout the wish journey 2. Supervise, guide and support wish granting volunteers by: Providing clear direction and expectations for each case Advising on sensitive family interactions and boundary management Ensuring volunteers are equipped to deliver a positive and consistent wish experience 3. Escalate complex or high-risk cases appropriately and ensure compliance in accordance with organisational policies 4. Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure effective wish delivery 5. Support outreach and engagement efforts with hospitals and partner organisations to facilitate referrals and strengthen partnerships 6. Undertake other duties as assigned by the supervisor Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in case management, social services, healthcare coordination, volunteer management, or equivalent client-facing roles Experience working with volunteers, vendors or external stakeholders is an advantage Qualifications: Degree or Diploma holder in any discipline Competencies: Demonstrates emotional maturity and sound judgment in handling sensitive and complex family situations Proactive and resourceful in resolving operational challenges and sourcing cost-effective wish solutions Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to guide volunteers and build trusted relationships Highly organised with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload and track budgets accurately Works independently while exercising appropriate escalation judgment Official Working hours: 9:00am - 6:00pm Candidate may be required to work on weekends for events that fall outside weekdays. Off-in-lieu will be provided.
