Job Summary We are assisting a reputable client to source a Naval Architect for an offshore project requiring presence in Singapore and China for two years. Ideal candidate is someone who has worked in a shipyard in a similar role. Responsibilities Apply expertise in naval architecture to design, construct, and execute offshore platform and FPSO projects, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with project specifications Utilize Staad Pro, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD software to develop detailed structural models and drawings that support project execution and decision-making Perform structural calculations and analyses to validate design safety, optimize materials, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet technical and operational requirements for offshore installations Manage project tasks on-site in Singapore and China, adapting to local conditions and coordinating with stakeholders to achieve project milestones Required competencies and certifications Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in offshore platforms, FPSO, or related naval architecture projects Preferred competencies and qualifications Proficiency in Staad Pro, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD software for structural design and drafting Strong skills in structural calculations and analysis applied to offshore engineering contexts
