Mechanical Piping Engineer, Singapore

JOB DESCRIPTION: Manage and coordinate projects with the Project Manager. Receive quotations and ensure that the quote is in line with specifications. Commercial evaluation of the quotations based on the technical aspects and prepared tabulations. Assist Project Manager in areas such as contract management, cost control, monitoring and coordination, engineering and design reviews, risk assessments, and procurement-related issues of the projects. Coordinate with the site construction team for installation, testing, and commissioning works. Able to conceptualize plant layout. Able to develop equipment layout and plot plan. Able to develop piping general arrangement drawings. Able to develop and prepare isometric drawings. Able to prepare material specifications for piping and support. Able to develop support designs. Knowledge of engineering codes (API, ASME, etc) and standards (NACE, NFPA, IBR, etc.). Knowledge of various vendor packages and review of vendor drawings and documents. Assist in the selection of the appropriate suppliers and purchase of the right materials. Checking and reviewing of piping and inter-discipline layouts. Preparation of methods of statement, progress reports, claims, and risk assessment for various installation works as well as inspection and test plans. Liaise with project team regarding shop fabrication. Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the immediate supervisor or higher management. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering Minimum 5 years of working experience in the oil & gas industry (preferably in Singapore) Willing to perform hands-on work and go to the site Ability to organize, prioritize, withstand stress, and multi-task under pressure Good communication and interpersonal skills Positive attitude and drive for results
