Group Audit (GA) is seeking a Senior Principal Auditor (SPA) to join the Investment Bank – Fixed Income and Currencies Audit Team in Singapore. The role will include leading complex global and regional audits, validating Fixed Income and Currencies business controls, and supporting functions such as Trade Services and Business Finance. The role will be based in Singapore and will report directly to a Principal Audit Manager (PAM) – IB FIC APAC.

• Lead regional and global front-to-back, thematic, regulatory or horizontal audits within Fixed Income and Currencies businesses.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end life cycle of an audit from audit announcement to drafting audit findings and draft reports.
• Oversee the work of other auditors ensuring audit work meets GA methodology requirements.
• Execute audit fieldwork in line with the agreed audit approach, documenting process flows, identifying key risks, controls, test plans and testing key controls to assess designed and operational effectiveness, and documenting work in accordance with Group Audit (GA) standards.
• Complete all assigned work in line with agreed budgets, including ad hoc projects and special investigations.
• Partner across other audit teams globally (e.g., Technology, Risk, Compliance, Anti-Financial Crime etc.) to ensure comprehensive audit coverage and an integrated approach to key risk topics.
• Proactively develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, the business and respective support areas.
• Communicate openly with GA management and internal stakeholders; keep them informed of potential issues and escalates problems/delays accordingly.
• Keep abreast of pertinent industry, regulatory and business developments.
• Support the development of an environment where people management and development are the number one priority.

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant Internal Audit experience from the financial services industry.
• Proven experience and knowledge of financial services products particularly Investment Banking – Sales & Trading activities, and conduct risks.
• Proven knowledge of auditing standards and concepts, including experience in using data analytics to perform audit testing.
• Project management and planning skills, the capacity to respond to and support positive change and continue to develop technical expertise.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, communicating with clarity both orally and in writing in a logical and structured manner.
• Ability to build relationships and having analytical, problem solving, communication, influencing, planning and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in virtual, global teams in a matrix organization, transfer knowledge and develop capability of team members.
• Able to work under pressure within tight deadlines, have a proactive approach, solutions and results oriented with good organisational skills.
• The ability to challenge and be challenged whilst maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, personal integrity and ethics.
