The successful candidate will work with Long Yuchen on determining the biomechanical and hydraulic regulations in the developing shoot apical meristem of Arabidopsis thaliana under a project on plant biomechanical research.
The main responsibilities of the position include: Design and conduct experiments in plant biomechanics and developmental biology Analyze experimental and theoretical data Write manuscript Supervise junior lab members and students Various management duty like purchasing, safety, organization, and so on Qualifications
PhD in Plant Developmental Biology and Biomechanics/ Mechanobiology. Skills: Bio-atomic force microscopy for plants, confocal microscopy, biomechanical analysis, plant gene editing, molecular biology and plant handling, physical modelling. Experience: Proven expertise in both plant developmental biology and plant biomechanics, especially in plant turgor pressure, is required. Good publication track record, good English language skill (oral and written).
