Job Summary The primary purpose of the Radiation Therapist position is to function in a specialized area of radiation therapy in the role of direct patient care provider in the Department of Radiation Therapy.
Deliverables & Responsibilities . To operate the linear accelerator and supporting treatment systems to treat patients in strict compliance to the prescription of Radiation Oncologist and generate accurate documentation of the doses delivered . To transfer and input patient treatment plan and parameters into the systems . To operate the CT simulator to produce CT images for treatment planning purposes following the specific request of the attending Radiation Oncologist . To carry out daily QA procedure for treatment machine and CT simulator . To explain to patients the procedures and possible side effects of treatment
Requirements: . Bachelor degree in radiation therapy . Min 2 years' of relevant work experience . License to practice radiation therapy . Registered with Allied Health Profession Council (AHPC) . Attention to detail and ability to master and troubleshoot technical machinery . Ability to maintain professionalism while working with sick patient . Salary package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
