Role Description As a Research Intern, you will play a hands-on role in executing experiments to validate and optimize our exosome platform, with a focus on testing functional efficacy for cosmeceutical and nutraceutical applications. You will conduct comparative studies across different formulations and conditions, generating high-quality data that translates early-stage insights into actionable scientific outcomes.
Working in a fast-moving startup environment, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate closely with the founding team, contributing directly to the development and validation of a new class of sustainable ingredients. This role offers end-to-end exposure across the R&D cycle – from experimental execution and data analysis to documentation and early-stage technology development, while helping shape an emerging innovation in sustainable biotech.
Key Responsibilities Design and execute experiments to evaluate the efficacy, functionality, and stability of exosome-based bioactives Conduct cellular and molecular biology studies, particularly using skin and gut models Analyze experimental data and translate findings into actionable scientific and product insights Assist in scientific documentation, including reports, protocols, and technical summaries Collaborate with external research labs and academic partners on joint studies and validation work where relevant Contribute broadly to the scientific advancement of Pullulo's platform and pipeline
What We're Looking For Background in Biology, Biotechnology, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering, or related fields Hands-on experience in cell culture, molecular biology, or biochemical assays Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment Strong communication and leadership skills, a team player Dedication, self-motivation, embraces failure and celebrates success!
