Part-Time Research Fellow (Condensed Matter Theory), Singapore

The overall mission is to understand the emergence of novel topological properties of magnons in and magnetortransport in chiral metallic magnets as proposed in the Tier3 grant. This is aligned with the New Knowledge mission of the University. Construct microscopic models of low lying excitations in quantum magnets, study their properties using analytical and numerical methods, and predict experimental signatures of topological magnon bands in chiral metallic magnets.

• Responsible for achieving theory targets in the Tier2 proposal.
• Formulate microscopic models of chiral metallic magnets and devise numerical methods of simulation.
• Meet the targets detailed in the Tier2 proposal.

• Ph.D. in Physics or related field, extensive knowledge of quantum magnetism and numerical and analytical methods.
• Develop algorithms to simulate low‑energy excitations in quantum spin systems.
• Construct new observables to characterize excitations above complex ground‑state phases, including topological magnon bands.
• Experience with computational simulation is required.
• Knowledge of quantum many‑body systems is required.
