This teaching role involves delivering a module on fundamental principles and emerging areas in communication networks, covering technologies, protocols, implementation, and issues of network security, dependability, and performance.

Period of teaching: 15 hours across one to two months.

Teaching Responsibilities

  • Understand the module content, communicate with the module leader and University Partner Programme Director to align on expectations, and deliver tutorials accordingly.
  • Provide feedback to the module leader and SIM on delivery challenges, student management issues, and other concerns.
  • Attend SIM and University Partner lecturers' meetings.
  • Coordinate with the Programme Team and University Partner faculty before, during, and after the module to discuss delivery and student feedback; additional meetings may be arranged as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or Master’s Degree in a related discipline from a reputable university.
  • Five years of relevant work experience in the domain area.
  • At least two years of relevant online teaching experience at the tertiary level.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems and online learning tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working or teaching in a multicultural or diverse environment is highly preferred.
