Engineer - PIE Metrology, Singapore

• Work proactively to problem‑solve with yield or quality impact on our products through development of measurement recipes that can provide quick and accurate feedback on the product integrity.
• Participate in new technology development and startup alongside with Research & Development (R&D) fabrication (Fab) site in US.
• Participate in worldwide discussions such as Copy‑Smart Team (CST) for continuous improvement on the toolset(s) assigned across Micron Fabs.
• Share best‑known‑methods and lessons learned across the network.
• Set up tool qualification criteria and implement monitoring through Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts.
• Collaborate with Engineering Operations and/or Application teams to optimize tool maintenance schedules and utilization.
• Develop and run projects to enhance inline detection, improve efficiency, reduce cost, reduce tool measurement variability, and improve machine availability.
• Partner with tool suppliers and owners to explore innovative ways to overcome the shrinking technology nodes.
• Support fab through data analysis, providing knowledgeable summations of results and recommendations on process changes, equipment availability improvements, and cost reduction work.
• Ensure engineering team is trained on recipe maintenance, tool recovery, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities for the assigned tools.
• Determine sampling strategy to meet production, process control, and quality requirements.

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering or Science is required.
• Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communicator, able to collaborate across all levels.
• Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning.
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable.
• Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.
