Senior Electrical Engineer, Singapore

Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Engineering Develop electrical system designs, single-line diagrams, load schedules, and schematics. Perform calculations for power distribution, earthing, lighting, and cable sizing. Design LV and/or MV systems according to Singapore standards and authority requirements (EMA, SP Group, BCA, SCDF). 2. Project Management Coordinate electrical works with architects, M&E consultants, contractors, and vendors. Review technical drawings, material submissions, and method statements. Monitor project progress, ensure workmanship quality, and conduct site inspections. 3. Testing, Commissioning & Maintenance Perform testing and commissioning of electrical systems, switchboards, generators, UPS, and other equipment. Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement corrective actions. Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance plans for electrical assets. 4. Compliance & Regulatory Requirements Ensure all designs and installations comply with: o SS 638 (formerly CP5) o EMA Licensing and Regulations 5. Safety & Risk Management Conduct risk assessments and apply safety engineering principles. Ensure electrical works meet workplace safety standards (WSH Act).
Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of power distribution, electrical protection, load flow, and system reliability. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP or similar electrical modelling tools. Knowledge of local regulatory frameworks and electrical code compliance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
