Seat Design- Product Engineer, Singapore

Need candidates for Location – Nagoya, Japan
Should serve as the lead technical expert for complete seat design programs at the customer site. Coordinate all engineering activities related to complete seat design, including styling integration, packaging, ergonomics, safety, comfort and manufacturing feasibility. Drive technical discussions and decisions with the customer's engineering teams, styling and manufacturing departments. Guide and mentor a team of design and development engineers (offshore) to ensure adherence to technical specifications, timelines, and quality standards. Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and technical problem-solving sessions. Ensure designs comply with relevant automotive regulations (e.g., ECE, FMVSS) and internal customer standards. Oversee the creation and release of 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and technical documentation. Proactively identify customer needs, challenges, and opportunities. Present technical solutions, project updates, and progress reports to the customer. Effectively communicate customer requirements and feedback to the internal engineering teams. Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Contribute to the creation and tracking of project timelines and milestones Identify potential roadblocks and proactively develop mitigation strategies Ensure deliverables meet customer quality standards and are delivered on time Support the integration of seat designs into the overall vehicle architecture. Experience: 6 to 15 yrs Qualification - BE /ME – Mechanical/Automotive JLPT : N2 or N3
