Desktop Support Engineer at NTT DATA, Inc. Singapore

We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in Singapore, Central Singapore (SG-01), Singapore (SG).

• Respond to client support requests and communicate with clients to clarify the nature of the problem.
• Travel to client locations or connect remotely to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain operating systems, computer software, hardware, and peripherals.
• Diagnose and resolve networking and connectivity problems, including Cisco and wireless technologies, network routing and switching.
• Advise clients on software or hardware upgrades and provide basic training on computer operation and management.
• Complete job reports, order supplies, and coordinate with vendors for installation of networking equipment such as routers, switches, bridges, concentrators, and SBCs.
• Provide network technical support for complex network-related incidents, changes, and projects involving Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Unity voicemail, Voice Gateways, Jabber, Telepresence, Codian MCU, Avaya phones, and other telecommunications equipment.
• Maintain secure, high‑performance network services including VoIP, QoS, CoS, LAN, SBC, TDM and SIP.
• Lead remediation efforts related to information security, penetration tests, vulnerability scans, and internal/external audits.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a desktop support engineer or support technician.
• Advanced knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals.
• Knowledge of popular operating systems, software applications, and remote connection systems.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for complex hardware and software issues.
• Willingness to travel and work after hours when necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
