Discovering The Role: This role is responsible for the successful delivery of Security Systems projects (New Build / Retro-fit / Site expansion) within the client's region of deployment, reporting to the Global Data Center Security Systems Program Manager who is based in the UK.
Responsibilities: Works closely with the Security Op's, Data Center Op's and providers to identify Security System needs; develops security designs, providing marked-up design drawings. Controls project costs and reviewing quotations and approving all expenditure; ensures contractual compliance. Attends regular project meetings, attending site as required during the project lifecycle. Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plans / schedules changes; recommending actions. Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems. Completes project sign-off, travelling to site ensuring installation has been completed to expected standards and highlighting deficiencies back to the VAR for rectification. Ensures all stakeholders are kept informed of milestones and major project developments to ensure that systems are installed in a timely manner and transited in readiness for site to go live. Expectancy of up to 40% regional travel time.
Requirements: Candidates for this position must have a strong background in the design of Access Control & CCTV Systems. Demonstratable design expertise with Lenel OnGuard and CCTV systems (Milestone) is an absolute requirement. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Data Center centric similar role. Any previous experience of system installation and support would be advantageous. The position requires extensive travelling to Offices throughout their nominated region to attend project kick-off, coordination and sign-off meetings with our Operational Teams, Data Center Build Teams, Implementation Teams, Architects, and our appointed parties. Very strong organizational & clear communication skills are absolutely required. Individuals in this position must be self-motivated requiring little or no direct supervision; they must demonstrate strong multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects in their life cycle from conceptual design phases through to implementation, testing & commissioning.
