VP, Relationship Manager - Shipping, Aviation, Logistics & Transport, Institutional Banking Group

Support in driving franchise and industry income and contribute to the team's P&L performance by managing the loan portfolio and account management requirements of SALT clients in Singapore and across DBS geographies.
Grow portfolio earnings and enhance portfolio ROE through cross-sell of Cash, Trade, Treasury & Markets and Investment Banking (including Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets and Strategic Advisory) products and solutions as follows:
- Digital agenda: To acquire new cash management mandates & supply chain mandates, working closely with product partners to ensure proper execution of such mandates.
- Sustainability agenda: To capture sustainability advisory, loans and capital markets opportunities working closely with Sustainability Team,(2) Identify
New-To-Bank client targets and develop/implement acquisition plans.

To develop and cultivate relationships with accounts that are in the maritime, and shipping related industry.
To build deep industry knowledge and understanding of the changes in the macro and industry trends.
Responsible for driving loan origination and execution while being cognizant of inherent credit issues and related risk mitigations.
Understand clients’ requirements and risk assessment before proposing viable financing solutions.
Responsible for credit risk monitoring and credit application.

Requirements

Minimum of 7-10 years relevant corporate banking/credit experience.
Degree holder in Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
Good knowledge of financial modelling, cashflow analysis along with strong credit analytical skills.
Knowledge of the bank's suite of products and services (e.g., cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans, foreign exchange, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Strategic Advisory).
Loan origination and execution experience.
Results-oriented, resourceful with good business networking in identifying and developing business opportunities.
