THE COMPANY Rooted in their commitment and service to their clients, the company has a well-received yet stable brand within the Banking sector. They are currently seeking for a Legal Key liaison (Legal and Credit Administration Documentation) to be part of their team. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Be the key liaison and contact point between the bank and external legal counsel Understand and instruct external legal counsel to provide legal advisory interpretation services, drafting legal correspondence (Letters of set-off and Demand letters etc) Assist in reviewing litigation cases (Registration of security documents, Release & discharge of securities and Redemptions, Non-standard security and facility documentation, Shipbuilding contracts, Refund guarantees, Debentures, Assignments and Mortgages) Review Legal documents (Injunctions, Winding-up notices, Court orders, Garnishee orders, Notices from liquidators, Official assignees or receivers) Review executed documents submitted by borrowers to ensure completeness. Identify irregularities from approved credit terms and ensure appropriate rectification Review security documents, facility letters and agreement prepared by both officers and external lawyers (for non-standard documentation) to ensure completeness and enforceability Manage the execution and closure of legal documentation for non-standard credits Review Performance Bonds, Letters of Guarantee, Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs), Bank Guarantees (BGs) and provide recommendations/raise any legal concerns or issues for management's approval Download/distribute weekly Credit Monitoring System reports to Credit Marketing and General Manager (i.e. to monitor legal action involving borrower and guarantors) JOB REQUIREMENTS Degree in Law Relevant Banking/Financial Institution's legal documentation and has acted as legal key liaison with external legal counsels Meticulous, organized, team player and has good interpersonal skills If you will like to explore this opportunity, please email your resume in Microsoft Word format to (HIDDEN TEXT) We thank you for your interest and will contact shortlisted candidates for more detailed discussion.
