Senior Java Backend Developer (12 months Contract), Singapore

Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to manage the software development lifecycle, from planning to release. You will lead the development of high-performance, scalable Java applications, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable Java applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices. Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge. Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in a timely manner. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers. Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools. Stay updated with industry trends and technologies. Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Proven experience as a Senior Java Developer or similar role. Experience with Selenium Cucumber Automation is a plus. Private Banking domain knowledge is advantageous. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices. Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL). Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with software development principles, design patterns, and best practices. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. Dynamic, proactive, and a sense of initiative. Excellent listening, analysis, and presentation skills.
