The CIS is a community of interdisciplinary scholars who contribute to the delivery of the University's Core Curriculum for all undergraduate students and also offers the nation's only individualised major. Both missions emphasise the importance of integrating ideas and perspectives across the disciplines associated with the other SMU Schools (Accountancy, Business, Economics, Computing, Law, and Social Sciences), with a particular focus on SMU's Strategic Priorities.
