KPMG's Deal Advisory practice combines top people and game-changing technology to give our clients confidence across the transaction life cycle. The Transaction Services team within KPMG's Deal Advisory practice provides clients with Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and growth strategy support by focusing on market entry assessment, strategic planning, business plan development, financial model reviews, commercial due diligence and M&A target identification.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individuals with experience in Accounting Advisory in the space of Deals Strategy to join the team. In this role, you will leverage your deep accounting expertise and deal strategy knowledge to advise clients on complex accounting, financial reporting, and transactional matters related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, group reorganisations and other deal-related activities.
The Role Involves
Assist in offering transaction-oriented accounting and reporting advice focused on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, group reorganisations, joint ventures, complex capital raising and financing structures, IPO and other strategic deals. Support clients with deal structuring and assessing the financial implications, including assessing accounting policies in financial due diligence. Support on large scale accounting advisory engagements and provide accounting support to clients, including restatement of finance statements, GAAP conversions, implementation of new accounting policies or accounting changes, preparing technical accounting positions. Work closely with other internal teams (tax, consulting, restructuring, valuation etc.) to ensure a seamless delivery of integrated accounting solutions. Assisting clients in getting ready for first time audits or providing audit readiness support Provide on-call technical accounting assistance alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to engage and manage a number of internal and external stakeholders.
The Role Requires
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional accountancy qualification such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent or working towards gaining one. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience with a public accounting firm, advisory services firm, with a focus on accounting advisory work. Strong current knowledge in one of the following: IFRS or U.S. GAAP Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a keen ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
