Job Summary Mentor and guide students in the National Robotic Competition (NRC) to develop their technical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills by teaching robotics concepts and supporting innovative robotic solution design and presentation. Responsibilities Guide and coach students to prepare effectively for the National Robotic Competition (NRC) by developing competition-ready robotic projects Teach robotics concepts including building mechanical structures, programming software, and system design to enhance students' technical skills Support students in brainstorming and developing practical solutions to real-world problems using robotics Mentor students through project planning, prototyping, testing, and iterative improvement to refine their robotic designs Provide training to students in presentation skills, design thinking, and problem-solving strategies to enhance communication and innovation Monitor students' progress regularly and deliver constructive feedback to foster continuous learning and improvement Create and maintain a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment that encourages creativity and collaboration Collaborate closely with the academic team to ensure training aligns with competition requirements and standards Preferred competencies and qualifications Experience teaching or coaching students in robotics or related fields Familiarity with robotics platforms such as LEGO, Arduino, and micro:bit to support hands-on learning Strong programming knowledge in Scratch, Python, or C++ to teach coding effectively Prior experience participating in or mentoring teams for robotics competitions like NRC, WRO, or VEX Demonstrated problem-solving and project management skills to guide student teams efficiently Ability to inspire creativity and independent thinking in students Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate learners Other Information Working Hours: Part-time, weekend, or flexible schedule depending on competition timetable
