Assistant Mechanical Engineer/ Assistant Packaging Engineer, Singapore

Responsibilities Manage the complete packaging development process, including drawing, design creation, prototype development, and performance testing.
Prepare technical specifications, inspection and test requirements, material requisitions, and packaging documentation, ensuring conformance to all codes.
Collaborate with the project team and vendors to ensure that packaging designs meet manufacturability and customer requirements.
Troubleshoot new and existing packaging problems (designs, materials, and processes) and provide creative, timely, and cost-effective solutions.
Test packaging systems and components for new and existing products.
Evaluate and select packaging suppliers/vendors, periodically conducting vendor reviews.
Manage multiple packaging projects simultaneously and identify opportunities for cost saving initiatives in packaging materials, transportation, and storage.
Stay up to date with industry trends and regulations, incorporating best practices into packaging solutions.
Provide technical support and training to production staff to ensure the proper implementation of packaging processes.
Continuously seek opportunities to improve and optimize packaging systems.
Requirements: Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
0- 3 years of experience as an Assistant Packaging Engineer or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
Fresh graduates are welcome
Proficient in packaging design software, such as AutoCAD 3D, Solid Works, Solid Edge or CAD software to produce accurate and detailed technical drawings.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams
Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices
