The Community Psychology Hub (CPH) is dedicated to improving people's lives through innovative, quality psychological and research services. We work in active collaboration with partners in the social service and public sector to provide care for persons with vulnerabilities alongside their families in the community. Set up by the Ministry of Social and Family Development in 2015, we are a unit sited within SG Enable Ltd, a registered charity and an Institution of a Public Character. This position is for the role of a senior psychologist working with adults with developmental disabilities and other special needs in the Adult Disability setting. This role aims to provide psychological services to individual clients presenting with behavioural issues and/ or mental health concerns vis-a-via consultancy, training and coaching to the staff and caregivers who support our clients. Specifically, this role is part of a pilot project looking at redefining programmes within the Adult Disability setting to create a continuum of service across the lifespan, and to generalise interventions and learnings from current services into the home setting. You will be working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team within the social service agency (SSA) and with the core technical assistance team at CPH. Your role will primarily be to support capability-building through training and coaching of the Master Trainer (MT), fellow allied health professionals (AHPs) and senior/ training officers (STOs/ TOs) of the SSA onsite. Responsibilities 1. Conduct Psychological Assessments Assess fidelity of MT/AHP/STOs in delivering staff training on Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Practice-Based Coaching (PBC) practices
Establish inter-rater reliability with SSAs to assess fidelity of staff in both PBS technical skills and PBC across 3 years
Be part of review panel for eligibility criteria and inter-rater reliability of relevant assessment tool within the ESLP
2. Deliver Coaching/Intervention Develop training material on PBS strategies, and co-deliver staff training alongside MT/AHP for other staff within the SSAs
Establish and expand coaching structure for MT/AHP/STOs within SSAs and conduct fidelity checks in both PBS technical skills and PBC across 3 years
Participate in routine care-planning, progress monitoring, and meetings as part of the multi-disciplinary team as necessitated
Working with SSA staff, allied health professionals and caregivers to better support needs through professional consultation and case discussions in adapting existing interventions for application in local context based on research and trends
Lead MT/AHP and SPED Educator in training and coaching implementation within SSAs
3. Build stakeholder relationships or capacity Support TA team in ESLP implementation catered to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and other special needs, inclusive of PBS, PBC, and other systemic supports
Support training to help equip staff and caregivers in relevant areas for supporting clients in SSA and community settings
Co-develop practice guidelines and SoPs to support ESLP implementation and use of best practices across SSAs
Lead discussions and collaborate with SSAs on change management, ESLP implementation and sustainability planning, including resource allocation and integration into routine practice
Provide updates on progress, changes and sustainability planning of ESLP implementation across SSAs
4. Uplift professional practice in psychology Provide peer consultation to other allied health professionals within the SSA as part of ESLP implementation
Assist in the delivery of training (clinical seminars, clinical workshops) for psychologists and/or other professionals in the social service sector
Participate, facilitate and present in CPH professional development platforms for knowledge-sharing and enhancement of professional skills
Assist in development of quality improvement projects to improve client care and services, to move beyond pure custodial care model
Provide supervision, guidance, and support to other team members within CPH
5. Others Provide administrative duties relevant to clinical practices and as required of the SSA and ESLP TA team
Attend CPH meetings and events when necessary
Prepare and submit monthly reports, i.e., monthly KPI tracking as required
Carry out any other duties as assigned by reporting officer or Management
6. Self-development Attend CPH/SSA endorsed training/workshops/seminars so as to develop relevant knowledge and skills
Receive formal supervision from CPH's approved supervisors as part of professional development
Requirements 1. Educational qualifications A recognised masters' degree in Applied Psychology (e.g., Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Educational Psychology) from an accredited university. The programme must include a supervised practicum and supervised training in psychological assessments
Be preferably registered, or eligible for registration with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) (Full Membership) and Singapore register of Psychologists (SRP)
2. Experience More than 3 years of relevant post-Masters experience of working with either children or adults with developmental disabilities and/ or providing psychological services in similar settings (i.e., SPED, social services sector) will be an advantage. Prior coaching experience in disability settings will be an advantage.
Experience in lesson-planning and curriculum development, administering psychoeducational assessment tools and providing intervention based on Positive Behaviour Support is preferable.
