About The Role
Apical is seeking a commercially driven Marketing Trader to execute sales and marketing strategies across assigned markets and products. The role focuses on:
Driving volumes and margins Managing key customer relationships Identifying growth opportunities Providing market intelligence to support trading decisions Exposure to risk management concepts is a plus
What You Will Do
Execute trading and marketing strategies to meet volume, margin, and growth targets Build and grow relationships with customers, distributors, and partners Identify new commercial opportunities and negotiate pricing and contract terms Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and supply–demand dynamics Collaborate with HQ, production, logistics, and marketing teams on go-to-market plans Provide timely market insights to support commercial decision-making (Good to have) Apply basic risk management concepts such as exposure, hedging, and counterparty assessment
What We Look For
Bachelor's degree or higher 8–10 years' experience in commodities trading/marketing, ideally palm or agri-commodities Strong commercial acumen and relationship management skills Good analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities Familiarity with palm markets preferred; risk management exposure is an advantage
