As a prospective candidate you need to be able to back up all of the above key attributes with relevant experience in your academic track record, previous work experience as well as any extracurricular hobbies and personal interests.
Requirements
We're looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably in STEM disciplines) Up to 3 years of work experience or a recent graduate Strong programming skills in Python, R, or C++ (essential) Demonstrated interest in trading or financial markets Clear communication skills and a team-first attitude Currently based in Singapore or able to work locally
Job responsibilities:
Carry out trading support tasks including trade entry, reconciliation on a daily basis Liaise with back office to work on desk or firm-wide projects Help with future and OTC executions Work with the traders on research, development, and implementation of new trading strategies Collaboratively work with the Onyx Advisory business on producing trader notes and trading reports Investigate potential profitable strategies to new products
All of our Trader Analysts join Onyx on a 6-month probationary training contract initially, with progression to a permanent contract thereafter. We have start dates throughout the year, and encourage applications from those who can start immediately, as well as from 2026 graduates.
We are looking for candidates who are able to provide a clear and demonstrable explanation of why they want to work as a trader, particularly within an OTC setting.
