Legal Regulatory Counsel, Singapore

About the Role We are looking for a Legal Regulatory Counsel to join our legal team and support the company's rapidly growing global business (ex-China). You will collaborate closely with different business groups to evaluate new initiatives, navigate regulatory risks, and help shape how our products and services operate across markets worldwide. Responsibilities Partner with various business groups to understand business operations and product mechanics, identify regulatory and compliance risks, and provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice. Monitor and interpret regulatory developments across key markets globally, and assess their impact on the company's products and business operations. Support the development and implementation of compliance frameworks, policies, processes, and training programs tailored to different markets and product lines. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to manage regulatory inquiries, reviews, and investigations, and contribute a regulatory perspective to product launches and market expansion initiatives.
Requirements 3–5 years PQE, qualified in Hong Kong, Singapore, or another comparable common law jurisdiction. Experience in regulatory compliance, whether gained in-house at a technology or internet company, at a law firm advising tech clients, or in a government regulatory body. Strong product sense and genuine curiosity about the internet and technology industry — able to quickly understand product mechanics and business models, and translate regulatory requirements into actionable guidance. A proactive, self-driven working style with the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex regulatory issues into clear, practical recommendations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable collaborating across functions and regions. Proficiency in English and Mandarin. Experience working on compliance for internet products, experience handling regulatory investigations, engaging with regulatory authorities is a plus.
