We are looking for an experienced
PMO Manager
to support complex technology programmes within a large-scale banking environment.
This governance‑led role sits within a central programme management function, providing delivery oversight across multiple workstreams. You will partner with business, operations, engineering teams, and vendors to manage scope, timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies.
The position offers end‑to‑end visibility across the delivery lifecycle and involves regular engagement with senior stakeholders, supporting long‑term technology transformation initiatives including core banking programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management Office (PMO) Governance
Lead the Project Management Office, ensuring consistent application of governance frameworks, standards, and reporting. Establish and maintain an integrated view of project and programme delivery across scope, milestones, timelines, and dependencies. Ensure accurate and timely delivery reporting to senior management and governance forums.
Risk, Issue, and Dependency Management (RAIDs)
Proactively manage and maintain programme-level RAID logs. Identify delivery risks and cross-project dependencies early and drive mitigation actions. Escalate material risks and issues to senior stakeholders and steering committees when required.
Stakeholder Management and Project Communications
Act as a central coordination point between business, technology, operations, and risk and compliance stakeholders. Facilitate governance meetings, programme forums, and steering committees. Produce clear, concise project communications, dashboards, and executive-level reporting. Ensure decisions, actions, and approvals are documented and tracked to closure. Ensure project data is accurately maintained in enterprise PMO tools and systems of record. Provide delivery assurance to ensure alignment with regulatory, audit, and control requirements.
Must Have Skills
Proven experience in a Project Management Office (PMO) role within Banking or Financial Services. Strong experience managing RAIDs at programme or portfolio level. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including senior-level engagement. Strong understanding of project governance, delivery controls, and regulated environments.
Nice To Haves
Delivery of end-to-end software project experience.
