Purchaser (Bulk Carrier), Singapore

Responsibilities Source and procure bulk materials, spare parts, and consumables for vessels and marine operations.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers and vendors.
Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability, quality, and competitive pricing.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with operations to prevent shortages.
Prepare purchase orders, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery.
Evaluate supplier performance and address any non-compliance issues.
Collaborate with technical and operations teams to understand material requirements.
Stay updated on market trends, shipping costs, and maritime procurement regulations.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation for audits.
Requirements ITE or Polytechnic Diploma in Maritime Studies, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related discipline. 1-3 years of experience in bulk procurement, preferably in the maritime or shipping industry.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of maritime operations, vessel supply chains, and industry regulations.
Proficiency in procurement software, MS Office, and inventory management systems.
