About the Role The Business Times is looking for a Video Journalist. The candidate will be working closely with the editorial team and journalists to produce digital content that drives subscriptions and brand awareness across all our social media platforms and channels.
He/she should be a digital native who has a strong interest in business and finance news and trends, with a good understanding of how to create fresh, engaging content that resonates with audiences.
Roles & Responsibilities Write, script and film social video content for the newsroom, these include promo videos, explainers, short documentaries and branded videos Conceptualise briefs and proposals for branded and sponsorship content Collaborate closely with journalists to ensure videos align with editorial Work with Multimedia Strategist to plan and execute briefs Coordinate and manage external vendors for video projects Manage workflow, processes and communication channels with all internal and external parties Propose creative ideas for content and audience engagement
Job Requirements 2+ years of experience in a writing, content or video production role Experience in scripting, pre-production, filming & post-production Basic or intermediate videography and video editing skills. Knowledge in Adobe Premiere Pro is a plus Good communication skills, initiative-driven and willing to learn Keen interest in business, finance, Must be fluent in written and spoken English Experience in journalism and reporting is a bonus Fresh graduates with relevant experience are welcomed to apply
