Job scope: Responsible for developing and maintaining an effective, system-wide infection control programs. Provides education to healthcare staff on infection control protocols and policies and develops strategies for patient education on prevailing infectious disease issues. Serves as a resource person and provides advice on infection control practices. Monitors patterns, prevalence and trends, conducts surveillance and evaluates data in infection control practices to initiate appropriate control measures. Supports teamwork essential for compliance with accrediting and regulatory standards through surveillance, effective prevention and control activities specific to primary care setting. Requirements Registered Nurse Bachelor's degree in nursing At least 9-11 years of clinical nursing experience out of which 2 years be in an infection control setting.
