Description
Critical Tasks And Expected Contributions/Results
Preparation of GST supporting data and documents for reporting to tax authority Manage input tax recovery process on broker commissions Work closely with other team members to support finance operational activities and improve processes relating to GST Review transactions to ensure correct coding of the GL accounting string and ensure these are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. Prepare monthly journals entries and ensure these are appropriately approved and posted on a timely basis. Perform monthly reconciliation of GL accounts as assigned Investigate reconciling items and help improve the reconciliations status. Preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting schedules. Monitor and follow up on outstanding broker invoices relating to commission paid/payable. Support the Accounting Supervisor and wider finance team in various ad hoc projects. Assist in other general day-to-day finance operations and control activities as required

Working with cross functional teams in a global environment Strong sense of ownership and willingness to move forward despite ambiguity Ability to effectively problem-solve and collaborate with others to resolve issues

Experience/Knowledge, Education And Other Requirements
Possess at least a Diploma in Finance/Accounting or equivalent At least 3-5 years' accounting experience, preferably with GST reporting experience Good IT knowledge, especially strong Excel skills will be beneficial Experience in Oracle accounting system would be advantageous but not essential
