Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented
Mechanical Engineer (Drafting Focus)
to produce accurate, high-quality 2D and 3D technical drawings that clearly reflect engineering intent. This role is dedicated to drafting, documentation, and drawing management to support manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly activities.
Main Responsibilities
Create and maintain accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor. Translate engineering concepts, sketches, and design inputs into complete, manufacturable drawings. Apply proper dimensioning, GD&T, materials, surface finishes, and technical notes in accordance with ASME/ISO standards. Revise and update drawings based on design changes, engineering feedback, and project requirements. Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards, engineering codes, and documentation procedures. Manage drawing files, revisions, and version control using PDM/PLM systems. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to resolve drawing-related issues and support manufacturability.
Requirements
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent relevant technical experience). Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Strong proficiency in CAD software with solid knowledge of GD&T, drafting standards (ASME Y14.5), and manufacturing processes. Ability to interpret engineering requirements and convert them into complete drawings. Knowledge of machining, sheet metal, welding, and fabrication drawings. Familiarity with optoelectronic components.
