The Assistant Manager drives the end-to-end Early Careers strategy (campus recruitment, internship & traineeship) and leads the team, focusing heavily on execution, engagement, and conversion of future talent.
Campus Relations & Event Management
Establish and cultivate strong, sustainable relationships with key career services departments, faculty, student organizations, and program directors at target universities and polytechnics. Lead the team to plan, coordinate, and lead all campus engagement activities, including career fairs, networking sessions, information workshops, university presentations, and on-campus interview days. Act as the primary external face of NFC, delivering engaging presentations and workshops that promote the Employer Value Proposition (EVP) and the mission of early childhood education. Develop a strategic calendar of campus events, prioritizing institutions and programs that align with NFC's most critical talent needs (e.g., Early Childhood Education, Human Resources, Finance).
Early Talents Program Management & Conversion
Traineeship & Internship Program Ownership: Own and manage the full lifecycle of the NFC Traineeship, Internship, Practicum & Work attachment Programs, including delivering a structured recruitment and onboarding process Develop strategies to maximize the conversion of trainees, interns, practicum & work attachment students into full-time employees, ensuring a strong return on investment for all early talents programs. Lead the Early Talents Team to conduct proactive sourcing for entry-level talent for traineeship and internships. Ensure that the team delivers on the end to end process from interview to offer & coordinate seamless pre-onboarding documentation and communication for all early talents hires.
Branding & Performance Metrics
Collaborate with Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition and Strategic Communications teams to develop early talents-specific content, collateral, and social media campaigns that resonate with student demographics. Track and report on key early talents metrics, including campus event attendance, campus relationship strength, cost-per-hire, and trainees/intern-to-full-time conversion rates to measure program ROI. Ensure the Early Talents team adhere to accurate and timely data entry within the ATS/CRM specific to early talents candidates, events, and pipelines.
Compliance
Ensure all hiring activities, documentation, and candidate data management strictly comply with local employment laws and internal audit standards.
Requirements
At least a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline. Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Talent Acquisition, HR, or a dedicated early talents/university relations role. Demonstrated experience in coordinating and running successful large-scale events or public-facing programs. Strong knowledge of best practices in campus recruitment and sourcing techniques. Proven proficiency in using and navigating an Applicant Tracking System (ATS/CRM) for reporting, workflow management, and process automation. Prior experience in team leadership is required. Strong public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to engage and excite large student audiences. Ability to compile and analyze early talent recruitment metrics (e.g., event attendance, campus relationship strength, cost-per-hire, and students-to-full-time conversion rates to measure program ROI.) and present findings clearly. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and adept at managing multiple projects and complex logistics simultaneously. Highly organised with a strong attention to details and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong team player with a proactive and open mindset to take the initiative and collaborate with multiple stakeholders. Passionate about the early childhood sector with a strong dedication to deliver results.
