Commis Cook - Food Truck Concept, Singapore

Position: Commis Cook Salary: Up to S$2.8K/month (Negotiable) Work Location: One-North or Sentosa
About the Role Our client operates an exciting food truck concept, bringing high-quality food to customers in a dynamic and vibrant setting. They are looking for a Commis Cook who is passionate about food and eager to grow in a fast-paced kitchen environment. In this role, you will support the kitchen team in preparing dishes according to the Chef's recipes and standards while contributing to a positive and efficient team environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare ingredients for cooking and service. Set up and organise workstations and cooking stations for smooth service. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly kitchen environment. Ensure all food items and equipment are properly stored and labelled. Conduct an organoleptic assessment to ensure ingredient quality. Monitor stock levels and report shortages or equipment faults to supervisors. Assist in menu preparation and development with the team. Ensure adequate supplies are available at cooking stations. Support the team in optimising cooking processes for speed and quality. Follow and enforce SOPs as well as health and safety guidelines. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements Good communication skills. Strong team player with a positive attitude. Ability to follow instructions and kitchen procedures. Knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods. Experience using kitchen tools such as cutting, cooking, and baking equipment. Previous experience working in a kitchen is preferred. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A culinary diploma or related certification will be an advantage. Enjoys working in a lively food truck/street food environment.
Working Hours/Days: One North Mondays: Closed Tuesdays-Saturdays: 11:00am to 8:00pm Sundays: 11:00am to 3:00pm
Sentosa 9:00am to 6:30pm Either Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays: Half Day Wednesdays: Closed
