About the Role The Lead, Growth & Strategic Partnerships, plays a pivotal role in advancing the next phase of growth for The Business Times (BT) Global, the regional platform for Singapore's premier business media. BT Global offers first-hand reporting and in-depth analysis; shaping conversations around business, markets and policy across Asia and beyond.
Working closely with the Head of Growth & Brand, this role is instrumental in scaling BT Global's reach, deepening its influence, and sharpening its value proposition across Asean markets. This role comes with a high degree of ownership and creative latitude - the successful candidate is empowered to identify, build and scale new growth levers, and to shape how BT Global expands its reach, relevance and influence across markets. This is a growth-focused role centred on expanding audience, strengthening brand equity and building meaningful strategic partnerships that are built on long-term value creation, brand alignment and audience impact, rather than purely commercial or revenue-driven outcomes. The ideal candidate is both strategic and execution-focused, with the ability to engage effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, identify high-value opportunities, and translate them into tangible actions for the platform. This is an exciting role that offers significant ownership and autonomy, with the space to shape and drive impact. This role is suited for someone who is driven by results and motivated to do what it takes to deliver meaningful, positive outcomes.
This is a contract position, with renewal subject to strong performance.
Roles & Responsibilities Drive audience growth and market expansion - Design and execute initiatives to expand BT Global's reach, particularly across Asean. This will be achieved by leveraging content strategy, distribution channels, publicity and targeted audience development, informed by industry trends, market intelligence and proprietary data. Efforts should also strengthen and elevate BT Global's positioning as a trusted voice in regional business discourse. Shape and optimise content strategy - Partner closely with the newsroom to identify high-potential content opportunities, guide audience-focused editorial planning, and track performance to continuously refine engagement and reach. Ensure cross-functional collaboration - Work with and align internal and external stakeholder from editorial teams to institutional partners - to deliver cohesive, high-impact outcomes. Stakeholder engagement can include marketing, product and technology teams to deliver integrated campaigns, enhance platform features, and develop innovative approaches that support growth objectives. Build and cultivate strategic partnerships - Identify and develop partnerships with organisations, institutions and platforms that are synergistic with BT Global's mission. Measure and drive impact - Define success through audience growth, engagement metrics, and brand influence, using data and insights to continuously optimise strategy and execution.
Job Requirements At least 5–8 years of relevant experience in news media, content, growth, audience development, marketing, or related fields, with strong understanding of content strategy and multi-channel audience engagement A self-starter with experience in stakeholder advocacy, non-profit partnerships management, social media, and / or external communications are critical skills we are looking for. Experience in leading a team will be an advantage. Strong interest in geoeconomic, business and Asia/Asean news Proven leadership maturity with strong stakeholder management skills, bias for execution Strong analytical skills with ability to use data and market insights to guide decisions Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with high ownership
