The Role We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support the full set of accounts for a growing SME, with hands-on exposure across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliation, GST, and month-end closing.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, wants to be a hands-on contributor in a lean team, and is keen to grow with a company entering a new regional growth phase under European ownership.
Key Responsibilities Handle full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), invoicing, and bank reconciliations. Process supplier invoices, staff claims, payments, receipts, and journal entries accurately and on time. Issue customer invoices, monitor incoming payments, and follow up on overdue accounts professionally. Perform monthly bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations. Maintain general ledger accuracy and prepare supporting schedules for month-end and year-end closing. Assist with quarterly GST submissions and ensure compliance with IRAS requirements. Support external audit by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor queries. Maintain organised accounting records and filing (digital and hardcopy) in line with statutory retention requirements. Liaise with internal departments (Sales, Operations, Service) on billing, costing, and payment matters. Provide ad-hoc finance and administrative support as required.
Requirements Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably handling full sets of accounts in an SME environment. Working knowledge of Singapore GST and basic statutory reporting requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and accounting software. Hands-on experience with Xero or Microsoft Dynamics Business Central / Navision is a strong advantage. Meticulous, organised, and able to manage deadlines with minimal supervision. A team player with good written and verbal communication skills in English. Open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents only.
