Overview
The
Assistant Manager / Senior Assistant Manager
is accountable forstrategically managingthe procurement of Furniture & Equipment (F&E) for Operations
with strong project management oversight
,directly supportingthe planning and development of the Integrated General Hospital (IGH).
Following procurement completion, the roleevolves to actively contributeto operational excellence within IGH,leveraging project management and procurement insightsto enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Key strategic responsibilities include: Leading and driving F&E procurement initiatives (estimated 400 packages) for IGH- serving as the sole procurement lead for Support Services to ensure alignment with IGH's operational excellence objectives, managing diverse stakeholder relationships, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing procurement timelines and quality standards Providing executive administration support to the IGH Programme Office and Digital as Default Workgroup- delivering high-level administrative and project coordination support to help drive successful project execution and strategic outcomes
This position plays a critical role in enabling IGH's transformation through robust procurement leadership and
executive-level
administrative support.
Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following:
Primary Responsibilities (80%)
Strategic F&E Procurement Leadership Lead comprehensive stakeholder engagementwith user departments to drive strategic specification and requirements gathering for F&E procurement initiatives. Ensure procurement excellencethrough rigorous end-to-end process compliance with organisational procurement policies and best practices. Manage strategic sourcing initiativesfor services and non-medical equipment categories, driving value optimisation and operational efficiency. Deliver contract establishment excellencewithin defined timelines to ensure seamless continuity of critical products and services. Serve as procurement leadin partnership with MMD who plays processor role, providing expert guidance to evaluation committees for comprehensive assessment of vendor, supplier, and contractor proposals. Create procurement value through partnership with MMD, leveraging negotiation expertise, product standardisation, and innovative sourcing methods.
IGH Programme Office Provide executive secretariat services including strategic meeting planning, comprehensive administrative coordination, meticulous record management, presentation development, and seamless meeting facilitation

Digital Transformation Provide strategic administrative support to accelerate AI and digital tool adoption,
facilitating
the establishment of digital-as-default working methodologies for all Alexians.
Secondary Responsibilities (20%) Support special projectsas assigned, demonstrating adaptability and cross-functional expertise. Deliver executive administrative excellenceand strategic support to the Operations Head as required. Maintain comprehensive documentation standardsand robust record-keeping systems to support project validation and organisational accountability. Prepare executive-level documentationand strategic papers for senior management approval and decision-making.
Requirements
Qualification Required and Area of Discipline Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field.
Required Competencies and Capabilities (Skills, Experiences and Professional Licences) Project management skills with prior procurement experience Experience with large-scale capital procurement projects (advantage) Highly organised and meticulous Resourceful with high level of initiative Team-player with strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and meet timelines Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite Digital-savvy and adaptable to new technologies
