Deposit and Remittance Manager, Singapore

Job Description & Requirements
Overview The Deposit and Remittance Manager is responsible for overseeing all deposit operations and remittance services to ensure accuracy, compliance and operational efficiency. This role manages end-to-end processes related to customer deposits, inward/outward remittances, nostro reconciliation, risk control and customer service.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily deposit operations including account openings/closing, fixed deposits placements/withdrawal/renewal and transaction processing. Perform KYC for client onboarding, periodic or trigger event. Manage inward and outward remittances. Ensure timely and accurate execution. Perform payment investigation if required. Supervise the verification, approval and release of transactions in line with internal controls. Ensure all deposit and remittance activities comply with regulatory guidelines, AML/CFT requirements, KYC standards and internal policies. Strong risk control mindset. Periodic reviews to identify and close operational gaps to mitigate operational risk Support internal and external audit inspections, address findings with corrective actions. Maintain robust documentation and reporting standards for audit trail. Provide training and guidance on processes, regulatory updates and system enhancements Perform UAT for enhancements related to deposit or remittance functions Evaluate existing processes and implement improvements to enhance speed, accuracy or mitigate risk. Maintain and update Deposit and Remittance Policy to reflect current practice Perform Maker role when required Undertake ad hoc duties as assigned to support business and operational needs
Requirement Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 5–7 years of relevant experience in Deposit & Remittance operations. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities; experience preparing executive-level materials is an advantage. Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
