WHAT is this role about
As a Video Editor, you will work with fellow content creators, using the video medium to help inform, engage and entertain our audiences about trending topics and interesting profiles in Singapore on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
A snippet of what you can expect to be doing on a day-to-day basis: Take part in conceptualising and executing insightful and creative editorial and sponsored videos Manage post-production of videos independently – assemble, organise, and edit raw footage into polished videos that engage digital natives effectively Provide creative solutions to repurpose video content to engage audiences on different social media platforms Optimise performance of content by crafting effective copy and thumbnails for social media
WHO should consider
We are looking for someone who is an expert in video editing.
If you: Have a good sense of storytelling Have a good understanding of the media landscape and follow social media trends closely Are proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or CapCut Are able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects well Are able to communicate and work effectively within and across teams Are organised and attentive to details Are resourceful in problem-solving, sourcing clips and creating basic animated sequences where needed
It's a major plus if you: Have proficiency in other software like After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, etc
Crucially, you must possess the mental stamina, tenacity, and agility to work in an intensely dynamic, fast-paced, and competitive media environment.
Senior video editor position is available for candidates with at least 2-3 years of work experience in editing news & current affairs videos.
