What The Role Is
Lecturer (Chemical Engineering) / Centre for Urban Sustainability
What You Will Be Working On
Develop curriculum and deliver training courses related to chemical engineering and sciences. Support course administration and coordinate subjects/programmes effectively. Undertake research and consultancy projects in areas such as speciality chemicals, materials technology, urban sustainability, or related fields. Leverage industry networks to foster collaborations and create meaningful learning opportunities for students. Lead applied research projects and supervised students in these initiatives. Provide pastoral care and mentorship to support students' academic and personal development. Contribute to polytechnic-wide and school-wide events or activities as part of community engagement.
What We Are Looking For
Higher tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent discipline. Minimum 3 years of relevant industry or research experience in chemical engineering or a related field. Proven track record in innovation, creativity, and interdisciplinary collaborations. Strong interest in applied research and student training. Resourceful and independent, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver results. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
