Job Description
Our client is a reputable Japanese trading company specializing in industrial gases, and they are seeking a Deputy General Manager for their Singapore subsidiary. This role will oversee factory operations within the Industrial Gas Division and play a key leadership role in strengthening manufacturing excellence, safety, productivity, and people development.
Responsibilities - Oversee and ensure compliance with internal regulations, work procedures, and quality management processes - Drive cost visibility and implement budget vs. actual performance controls - Strengthen safety standards and implement robust safety management systems - Lead initiatives to improve product quality and work toward zero customer complaints - Develop future factory leaders through structured coaching, performance evaluation, and talent development - Manage and mentor local staff, including training, performance review, and workforce planning

Requirement & Preferences
(Must) - Diploma or higher in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) - Minimum 15 years of experience in semiconductor process gases and/or semiconductor materials gas manufacturing, development, or technical functions - At least 15 years of factory management experience, including safety, quality, and process management - Strong communication skills in English and Japanese (JLPT N2 or equivalent) in order to liaise with Japanese-speaking stakeholders and counterparts - Proven leadership experience in a factory or production environment
(Advantageous) - Experience managing a multinational workforce - Familiarity with ISO, OSH, and/or environmental certification systems - Degree in Engineering
