Position Overview The
Assistant Senior Social Worker (ASSW)
for the Whampoa Family Service Centre will manage assigned caseload and implement client intervention plans. This includes supporting the Centre's casework system, providing information and referral services, and networking with community partners. The role also involves leading and supervising group and community work programmes, collaborating with organisations, and performing additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor and Centre Head.
Key Duties & Responsibilities 1. Casework & Counselling 1.1. Maintain a reasonable caseload and provide clinical supervision for Social Work Practitioners. 1.2. Identify and assess the needs of the clients after which, plan and implement appropriate intervention plans with them. 1.3. Support the agency's casework system including administration, intake, referral, evaluation and closure of cases. 2. Information & Referral 2.1. Provide appropriate information and referral services to people who contacted our Centre for assistance. 2.2. Support the agency's I&R standard operating system of administration, intake, appropriate referral, outcome follow-up and closure of I&R. 2.3. Network and outreach to the residents and relevant partners in our Community to identify and explore needs of our Community. 3. Social Work Programme Development in Groupwork and Community Work 3.1. Lead in the planning, co-ordination, monitoring and review the Groupwork and Community Work programmes and explore needs of the families in our Community. 3.2. Liaise and work with organizations and partners to facilitate more effective work with residents in our Community. 3.3. Supervise staff in programme development and implementation. 4. Undertake any other responsibilities and duties assigned by the Supervisor and Centre Head.
