Description
We are looking to hire a Cybersecurity Policy Developer to strengthen the organisation's cyber governance and policy capabilities. This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity strategy, governance, and technology, and we are open to candidates from either a policy background or hands-on operational cybersecurity or engineering backgrounds who are interested in transitioning into a policy-focused role.
Responsibilities: Develop, review, and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and guidelines aligned with national-level frameworks and regulatory requirements Translate complex technical risks and operational insights into clear, actionable policy frameworks Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, industry, and technical teams to ensure policies are practical, implementable, and risk-aligned Conduct research on emerging technologies and threat landscapes (e.g. cloud, IoT, AI, cryptography) to inform policy development Support the development of cyber governance frameworks, including risk management approaches and control baselines Provide advisory on policy interpretation and implementation, bridging the gap between policy and operations
Requirements: Background in cybersecurity, technology, or engineering, either from a technical policy background or with more than 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Risk assessment / technology risk, security solutioning or architecture, network design and engineering, application development, IoT / embedded systems, cryptography or hardware security, mobile application / device management, cloud architecture, hosting design or implementation, DevSecOps or secure software delivery Ability to translate technical concepts into structured policies and standards Familiarity with cybersecurity industry frameworks Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
