Overview
Our client, a leading global data center operator, is seeking a Training Manager / Specialist to spearhead their Diploma Work-Study Program, designed to develop the next generation of Data Center Facilities Engineers. This role bridges education, operations, and talent development, ideal for professionals who understand critical facility environments and have a passion for nurturing technical talent.
Key Responsibilities • Program Ownership: Manage and evolve the company's Diploma Work-Study initiative in collaboration with local polytechnics and tertiary institutions. • Talent Engagement: Partner with schools and institutions to attract and mentor students who will work full-time while completing their diploma over two years. • Stakeholder Enablement: Educate and align internal stakeholders including hiring managers, engineering leads, and HR on the objectives, structure, and value of the program. • Training & Mentorship: Support the onboarding, technical development, and career progression of trainees in the Facilities Engineering track. • Program Optimization: Continuously assess program outcomes, feedback loops, and partnerships to ensure alignment with operational and business goals.
Qualifications & Experience • Background in Data Center Operations, Critical Facilities Management, or Engineering Services (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Systems). • Prior exposure to training, mentoring, or program management ideally in a technical or operations environment. • Strong stakeholder management skills; able to influence and communicate effectively across both technical and non-technical audiences. • Passion for workforce development, education, and building long-term technical talent pipeline
