About The Team
The SG Marketplace Business Intelligence (Marketplace BI) team is a highly analytical and business-focused unit that supports end-to-end marketplace performance across buyers, sellers, and platform operations. We collaborate closely with Commercial, Marketing, Product, Operations, and Regional teams to deliver scalable, accurate, and automated data solutions that drive marketplace growth and efficiency.
Our team specialises in transforming complex marketplace data—such as traffic, conversion, assortment, pricing, seller performance, and user behaviour—into actionable insights. This enables faster decision-making, optimised user experience, improved seller performance, and sustainable GMV growth. By leveraging SQL and automation tools, we build a robust data infrastructure to support both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic initiatives.
Job Description
Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Product, and Regional teams to provide actionable insights on key marketplace metrics, including traffic, conversion rates, GMV, buyer engagement, and seller performance Monitor and deep dive into marketplace KPIs to identify growth opportunities, performance gaps, and root causes across the buyer and seller funnel Analyse user behaviour, campaign performance, and assortment dynamics to optimise pricing, promotions, and on-platform experience Translate business requirements into structured technical solutions and scalable data models/workflows Automate day-to-day reporting processes using SQL, Python and other tools Develop and maintain dashboards and monitoring systems to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness Optimise end-to-end data pipelines from data sources to visualisation layers Support key marketplace initiatives such as campaign analysis, seller growth strategies, assortment optimisation, user retention, and monetisation projects Perform ad-hoc deep dives to support urgent business questions and drive data-backed decision-making
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, or other quantitative disciplines Strong hands-on experience in SQL and Python; proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets is required Experience in e-commerce, marketplace platforms, digital marketing analytics, or related domains is highly preferred Strong analytical thinking with the ability to break down complex business and user problems Detail-oriented with high standards for data accuracy, consistency, and reporting quality
