Description
Job Summary Support project cost management by preparing tender documents, analyzing supplier prices, monitoring project progress, and evaluating subcontractor payments to ensure accurate and timely financial control in civil and building works. Responsibilities Prepare tender documents and requests for quotations from various suppliers to initiate procurement processes Analyze and compare prices from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive and current pricing Manage variation orders efficiently by providing early and accurate cost advice to support project budgeting Monitor project progress and measure variations in work to maintain accurate project valuation Evaluate and certify subcontractors' progress payments, variation orders, and completed work for timely financial processing Prepare and follow up on monthly progress claims to ensure on-time submission and payment Apply proficiency in civil and building works to support quantity surveying tasks effectively Perform other quantity surveying-related duties to support project cost control and contract administration Preferred competencies and qualifications Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to support accurate cost assessment Strong negotiation and coordination skills to facilitate supplier and subcontractor agreements Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word, to manage documentation and reporting Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing as a collaborative team member Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines to maintain project schedules Ability to speak and understand Mandarin to communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders Willingness to start work on short notice to meet project demands A minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience preferred fresh graduates will also be considered Possession of a Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, or Post-Graduate Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil, or Building Engineering is preferred Other Information Working Days: Monday to Friday Working Hours: 8:45 am to 5:45 pm 2-way transport provided on most days Working Location: Tuas Area
