Principal Network Architect – Automation & Reliability, Singapore

I am partnering with a premier global financial institution to secure a
Principal Network Architect – Automation & Reliability . This is a senior, high-impact Individual Contributor mandate. The business is aggressively scaling its automation initiatives, and they need a true Subject Matter Expert to take the reins, define the strategy, and build production-grade automation frameworks from the ground up.
This role is strictly for a hardcore
Network Operations
veteran. If you are a traditional network engineer who has evolved to treat infrastructure entirely as code - and you are looking for a mandate where you can drive enterprise-wide transformation - this is the seat for you.
The Mandate (What you will drive): Strategic Leadership:
Define and execute the long-term roadmap for network automation, reliability, and observability across massive global data centers. Framework Engineering:
Move beyond ad-hoc scripting. You will design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks utilizing
Ansible
and CI/CD pipelines (GitOps, Jenkins, GitHub). Core Infrastructure Mastery:
Serve as the ultimate technical authority for global routing, switching, load balancing, and enterprise firewalls (Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, F5). Security & Firewall Orchestration:
Automate complex firewall policy management, rule lifecycles, and compliance validations (leveraging tools like AlgoSec). Next-Gen Observability & SRE:
Architect telemetry pipelines (streaming telemetry, SNMP, NetFlow) integrated with Grafana/Prometheus, and build automated pre-deployment simulation testing (Batfish, pyATS).
Requirements: 10+ years
of elite enterprise network engineering experience, with at least the last 5+ years fiercely dedicated to automation and reliability initiatives. Deep Ansible Expertise:
Python alone is not enough for this role. You must have a proven track record of building reusable Ansible collections and managing network configurations via IaC methodologies. Absolute mastery of core networking (BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP) and high-end security platforms. The gravitas and stakeholder management skills required to operate at a senior level, influencing cross-functional technical teams and enforcing reliability standards.
