Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance Planning & Scheduling
- Develop or assist Maintenance Craft Leads with detailed job plans for preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance across Mechanical, Electrical, and Control & Instrumentation disciplines.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance outages, forced outages, and opportunity maintenance, to align with unit availability requirements.
- Ensure all work orders are fully scoped to include manpower, skill sets, labour hours, spare parts, tools, and safety requirements.
Work Order Management
- Review, prioritise, and manage Corrective Maintenance (CM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) backlog based on criticality, risk, safety, and regulatory impact.
Maintenance Craft Coordination
- Coordinate maintenance resources to balance workload, and minimise overtime, and contractor dependency.
Budgeting & Cost Control
- Act as the Maintenance Department coordinator for the Annual Maintenance Budget.
- Track planned versus actual maintenance costs, and support cost optimisation initiatives without compromising safety or reliability.
Audit & Compliance Coordination, and Data Analysis Support
- Analyse maintenance data and work order history to identify repeat failures, chronic equipment issues, and poorly performing assets.
- Support Bad Actor Reviews by working with the Engineering, Reliability, & Operations departments.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Improve preventive maintenance strategies based on failure trends and OEM recommendations.
- Serve as the primary Maintenance contact for internal and external audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Ensure that maintenance records are complete, accurate, and compliant to regulatory standards.
Interface Support
- Support new unit and project interfaces (e.g. GE 9HA.01) by contributing to maintenance strategies, PM development, spare parts planning, and CMMS data population prior to handover.

QUALIFICATIONS Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation/Control Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification with relevant experience.

Experience

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in maintenance planning or maintenance engineering (e.g. power generation, petrochemical).
Prior experience in combined cycle power plants and/or large frame gas turbines (e.g. Siemens V94.3 and/or GE 9HA) is preferred.
Hands on experience with CMMS/EAM systems (e.g. SAP PM or Maximo).

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of power plant or petrochemical plant equipment, maintenance strategies, and best practices.
Excellent analytical, and organisational skills.
Strong communication and coordination skills, and ability to work crossfunctionally with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Stores, and contractors.
Familiarity with planning tools, such as Primavera or Microsoft Project is an advantage.
